Benefits of Pursuing Accreditation by Standards for Excellence Institute

Waterfall

Every month or two, I join a group of hashtagvolunteers to review an application for accreditation through a several hours long confidential process.

🌏 Nonprofit hashtagaccreditation and recognition through the Standards of Excellence Institute is a national hashtagprogram created by Maryland Nonprofits decades ago.

💡 The hashtagmission of both is to strengthen hashtagorganizations and networks for greater quality of life and equity.

📔 Accreditation can remove some of the guesswork for hashtaggiving, a benefit to hashtagfunders who trust the third-party review and support provided to organizations going through the accreditation process.

🔗 I believe that the process benefits hashtagnonprofits by increasing hashtagrevenue, strengthening hashtagboards, and improving operational effectiveness.

*** But don't just take my word for it, you can find hashtagtestimonials here: https://lnkd.in/ez8HQuBk

*** Accreditation is offered nationwide and many statewide organizations and nonprofit networks such as Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), create their own welcoming, accessible approach and program in keeping with the national standards.

===> I find this opportunity a privilege as a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant to provide this support - and a side benefit is that I constantly learn from this experience.

🔵 🔵 🔵 Thanks to Ashley Suhler Tobin for inspiring me to apply for this program and for the mentorship and support of Tish Mogan, Anne L. Gingerich, MSW, Kate Hull, and Amy Coates Madsen, and many others for infusing distinction and skill into the Standards for Excellence®: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector.
