The Fortune Cookie Message I Keep

During a time of uncertainty when feelings of "imposter syndrome" snuck into my head last year, I got an unexpected message from a fortune cookie.

I stored it—digitally, of course.

Last weekend, I stumbled upon the image and it gave me a powerful reminder of how to approach a situation where I’m temporarily feeling temporarily unsure of a big decision.

"Act as if it were impossible to fail."

And then move forward, move on, and make decisions based on expected success. We do not always feel this level of confidence—but it’s a great way to be, and an attitude I aspire to hold, even in times of uncertainty.
