Impact Story Case: Model Example from Compass Working Capital

🖋 The team in the Boston-based #nonprofit produce model #impact stories and this one, to be clear, was not one of ours from earlier this winter:

👩🏾‍💼 Briana, is a small business owner who encapsulates both creativity and personal growth. 

⚕ In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Briana found herself at a crossroads after being laid off. However, she turned her passion for fashion into an opportunity by creating handmade crochet items for #medical #professionals. 

===> In the years since, she’s worked hard to build her #brand, eventually deciding to focus full time on building her business.

🏫 In the same spirit of growth, she joined the Compass FSS+ program with her housing provider, Cambridge Housing Authority, seizing the opportunity to build savings and learn how to manage her finances long-term.

💢 Briana's hard work is paying off: in just the past few months, she was invited to show her designs at both New York and Paris fashion weeks. 

🗼 Plus, her pieces are now on sale at a retailer in Paris featuring independent designers just like Briana. 

🏵 We congratulate Briana on her accomplishments and look forward to supporting her growth in the years to come.
