🦋 Although I was a teenager, I witnessed as an outsider what author Dan Savage said (see below).
🎇 I had many thoughts I would either fail to reach 20 or 25 years of age based on my own isolated experience, and yet I surprised myself and thrived.
===> With a good number of challenges impacting the nonprofit spaces today, Savage's quote is an excellent reminder why we must keep the faith.
"During the darkest days of the AIDS Crisis, we buried our friends in the morning, protested in the afternoon, and danced all night.
The dance kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for. It didn't look like we were going to win and then we did.
It doesn't feel like we are going to win now, but we could.
