Is your cybersecurity insurance is up to date?

Friendly warning to nonprofit boards and CEOs:

Do you have protection in case a third party took control of your data or shared drives?

Do you use any e-commerce sites, keep donor data? Client, student, or patient data accessible online?

I worked for an organization once that had a sharp COO who got the insurance in advance which effectively paid the 30K to the bandits who held the data hostage for three days. It was a chilling and memorable experience for all.
