An Announcement Process for a Merger that Worked for Me

Lessons and applicability for #nonprofits can be gleaned, I believe.

The steps taken by my firm's #insurance provider enhanced trust and understanding as well as my comfort with its suddenly announced #merger plans.

When Bill Whalon formally emailed me (as well as all his clients) about his firm (Butrus & Whalon) merging with GMG Insurance, I was prepared.

He had called and emailed ahead of time, which was a comfort.

Later, he shared the first of a series of videos (more forthcoming) with Matt ONeill which outlined the improvements and increased access to services that would follow.

Bill also addressed my questions about referring #nonprofitorganizations in the future, something I was specifically concerned about (and, yes, they are further engaging with and desire additional not-for-profit clientele).

I received a press release as well as a #FAQ sheet which I appreciate. And, another person I have known for the better part of two decades, Ryan Fuller, also works there.

To the point, I appreciated the individualized approach and feel even better with my decision four years ago. Thanks, Bill.
