Benefits of Pursuing Accreditation by Standards for Excellence Institute

Perry at desk

Today, I'm part of a set of #volunteers to review an application for accreditation through a confidential process.

🌏 Nonprofit #accreditation and recognition through the Standards of Excellence Institute is a national #program created by the Maryland Nonprofits

💡 The #mission of both is to strengthen #organizations and networks for greater quality of life and equity.

===> I find this opportunity a privilege as a Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant to provide this support - and a side benefit is that I constantly learn from this experience.

📔 Accreditation can remove some of the guesswork for #giving, a benefit to #funders who trust the third-party review and support provided to organizations going through the accreditation process.

🔗 I believe that the process benefits #nonprofits by increasing #revenue, strengthening #boards, and improving operational effectiveness.

*** But don't just take my word for it, you can find #testimonials here: https://lnkd.in/ez8HQuBk

🔧 Tools & resources for boards + nonprofit execs here: https://lnkd.in/eVUQyd7J

*** Accreditation is offered nationwide and many statewide organizations and nonprofit networks such as Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), create their own welcoming, accessible approach and program in keeping with the national standards.

🔵 🔵 🔵 Thanks to Ashley Suhler Tobin for inspiring me to apply for this program and for the mentorship and support of Tish Mogan, Heather S. Giampapa, CFRE, Anne L. Gingerich, MSW, Kate Hull, and Amy Coates Madsen, and many others for infusing distinction and skill into the Standards for Excellence®: An Ethics and Accountability Code for the Nonprofit Sector.
