Did anyone else do a wholesale cleaning of their office space over the holiday weekend?

It was a day of letting go and getting organized. Threw out the unnecessary paper that was clogging up my space. Old knickknacks holding zero emotional currency got the boot. The smell of pine wood cleaner filled the air for 36 hours.

I put up artwork, my diplomas, signs, calendars, and framed photos, stuff that had been sitting on a low shelf. Overall, this reorg feels really good.

The photo shown here is my grandfather's high school track team and teacher-coaches in 1930. He competed and won races (for his age groups) all the way to 1998 when he was 87. I admire his tenacity, grit, and hard work -- and now I’m reminded of these qualities every workday.  [He’s seated center front row, directly above tall trophy]
