Do Public Online Voting Efforts Help Our Cause?

Memories at the Museum

They certainly can and in my perspective when a #nonprofit has engaged #staff, #board, and #volunteer participation, a friend making opportunity indirectly can be a side effect of the endeavor.

You know what I might be talking about: those online vote for a #charity to win something (e.g., a title, cash #grant, or another reward, etc.).

Recently, a colleague Donna Saul Millen, COO of Philadelphia's Please Touch Museum shared with me (and a whole bunch of other) a current opportunity to garner the attention by USA TODAY and be named Best Children’s Museum.

I have positive memories of taking nieces and nephews and cousins' kids to the museum and of course I am happy to vote in the affirmative.
