IBA Members Celebrate Comcast RISE Day

A few weeks ago at #ComcastRISE Day in the Wells Fargo Center, hundreds gathered as we celebrated the recipients of the Comcast RISE Grants.

Comcast RISE supports the growth of small businesses and #entrepreneurs committed to uplifting their own local#communities. 

The #program is built to help businesses and their communities thrive with a focus on economic growth. 

This year, Comcast RISE has awarded 500 recipients in five cities with a#grant package that includes business consultation services, educational resources, monetary grant, creative production, media schedule, and a technology makeover.

I'm thrilled to see the strong representation among my peers and I thank Comcast for not only hosting this event and inviting us to be apart of it, but for being champions of diverse small business owners such as my colleagues who are members of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the African-American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE, and the Independence Business Alliance.

Also, a special shoutout to my friend and former coworker, Chrissie Bonner of Illustrating Progress, who is also a well-deserved awardee who does a lot for our community. Plus, a shoutout to Sharif Pendleton and Justin Mendoza, LCSW, CAADC (see photograph) - congratulations to you both!
