Non-Cash Assets: Case of the Vintage Dolls

Lake

💥 Last week, a friend/neighbor/attorney, asked me for a link to the two companies I connected with at the #Charitable #Gift Planners Conference last November.

===> This call was a reminder to me that non-cash #assets can be a boon for #nonprofits who engage in #plannedgift cultivation.

👓 The attorney's client, an executor, had from her brother a set of unopened dolls sold mostly in the late 1990s (limited edition toys).

**** While the two #estate liquidators are outstanding, trustworthy entities known for handling estate assets for many storied nonprofits, the value of the rare dolls were not necessarily reaching the minimum for their investment of time, but could be worth up to high 5 to low six figures.

💢 I'm grateful to a college friend who specializes in unique finds and antiques, having built his business since the early 1990s.

🎩 His expertise has grown to know the #marketplaces and the landscape of vintage items and people like this are invaluable to know especially in the relationships surrounding planned giving.

Thanks, Robert Eppenstein.
