The Ogunquit Museum of Modern Art Did Not Disappoint

Some time ago, a former #team #member was a final #candidate for a role there and I got to speaking with a #board member as I was endorsing my #colleague for the #job.

It’s only taken me roughly 3 years to make good on my promise to them to visit. Glad we finally did. The art was inspiring and made use of multiple forms and approaches.

I was pleased to see representations by AAPI, Black/African-American, Latino, Native American, immigrants, and LGBTQ+ artists, especially given the state of Maine is 91% White.

In addition, we overheard conversations by staff about their current efforts to improve the accessibility of the grounds and the museum for people with different abilities.
