RPM Consulting Partners with Cheshire Law Group

In the early days of founding RPM Consulting, four groups contacted me to explore starting up either a new nonprofit or foundation or both, and all of which were looking to create and register new entities with the IRS and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

I reached out to Morgen Cheshire, a colleague from my days as executive director of the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund (DVLF). As a community foundation, we frequently required legal counsel for philanthropists who wanted to include DVLF in their estate plan. Attorney Morgen Cheshire was one of the key legal experts I grew to rely on and trust. Morgen Cheshire quickly rose from Associate to Partner at Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis, LLP, prior to starting her firm. I worked with Morgen again when I was consulting with House of Blahnik, a national health, education, and leadership training organization. After a period of rapid growth, House of Blahnik was ready to separate from their nonprofit fiscal sponsor, which would greatly enhance their ability to secure grant funding and individual financial support. Morgen was a solo practitioner at the time, and she prepared the legal start-up documents for House of Blahnik.

Flashforward to 2019: I needed a talented legal resource to support my work with nonprofit, foundation, and philanthropic clients. Cheshire has since grown her legal team to six along with four additional administrative personnel.

Among her many positive attributes, Morgen has always impressed me with her deep legal expertise, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and her competency working with diverse communities and nonprofit cultures. For these reasons and more, I am grateful and proud to be partnering again with Morgen and her team at Cheshire Law Group.
