Mixing art and philanthropy

Infusing and integrating art into philanthropic campaigns can raise more money—and some leaders do this exceptionally well.
Some leaders are what I call anthropologists. They learn what motivates a particular group, and identify messaging and symbols that bring communities together for a cause.
Today, I want to celebrate Karen Singer - artist, storyteller, creative tilemaker, and entrepreneur.
Her process uses art to engage stakeholders during the pre-campaign phase, and can extend well beyond the multi-year campaign phase.
I enjoyed learning from and working with Karen a handful of years ago just as much as I enjoy learning from and working with her today.
