COVID-19 news stories covering #vaccine rollouts have been flooding my feed, prompting thoughts on how #leaders can best enable, educate, and encourage others to get vaccinated.

Consider the public only recently crossed the 50% threshold for #pandemic vaccination willingness. We have lots of work to do.

  • Will #employers allow staff workday time to get the vaccine? (I hope so)?
  • Will employers launch a #communications plan ahead of, and throughout, the vaccine rollout to strengthen participation? (HR leaders are calling for this)
  • And what about requiring staff to get vaccinated? Thorny question, right?

Vaccine requirement policies are incredibly complicated, potentially polarizing, and riddled with inconsistency, as I read what law firms, the #EEOC, and medical establishments say today.

And what about an employer's #liability when *not* requiring staff vaccinations? Ugh!

Bottom line:  I know leaders want safety for their employees, clients, patients, students, customers – anyone in contact with their organization.

While I read multiple news sources, I find the quality of messaging from the
Society for Human Resource Management to be exceptional in this area. #SHRM
