My first professional #office was a converted coat closet.

Today, my cozy #WFH work place is nestled under my basement staircase, which I love.

My current domain harkens back to when I was working for Saint Leo University.

There were ten or so people on the #admissions team and I was the newest member, filling an additional outreach and counseling #role. It was a great opportunity, only they didn’t have an actual space for me in the office.  So, they got creative, and emptied out the large coat closet (not often used in West Central Florida). They added some lights, a desk, a chair, a garbage can and – boom – I had an office. I was as happy as a pig in mud because the space was all mine.

I didn’t care that it was a 4’ x 5’ closet. Nevertheless, within a year, I could move to a space with a window – and I’ll never forget having that office and the sense of pride.
