60 Seconds to New and Greater Monthly and Sustaining Donors

There are more significant donors in your midst than you may realize. Consider these opportunities:

1. Donation Page: Does your online giving page encourage or default to a monthly option?

>> Set-up/update your online monthly giving form. Be sure to include ACH (e-check) payments.

>> Have a few of your board/committee members walk through the monthly gift set-up process. Ask for their suggestions on improvement. Go through the process yourself, too.  You can often identify quick fix improvements, or bigger ideas for a future state. 

2. ID Donor Prospects: Run a report of donors since 1/1/2017 and compile: Who has given via credit card at least once? Who has given a total of less than $300 since then? Who has contributed 3+ times to your group?

>> Develop a targeted set of communications for web, social media, email, and direct mail.

3. Educate your supporters:

>> Share impact stories and pair them with an ask that clearly communicates what specific dollar amounts can do
>> Include monthly giving options on all printed envelopes and fundraising communications
>> Don't forget to reach out to your volunteers and acknowledge how their support effects change and fulfills the mission
