Three Actions to Make It Rain before the Holidays (originally posted in late August 2020)

1. Reengage LYBUNTs*:

Determine the largest donors (or past sponsors if you wish) who gave by August in 2018 and 2019 but haven’t given yet this year. Identify 10 people you haven't yet connected to in real time in 2020. Reach out and share updates about the impact of your organization during the pandemic.

2. Organize Volunteers:

Get together all folks who conducted a third-party fundraiser or served on an event fundraising committee for a special acknowledgement gathering online. Share a live or pre-recorded testimonial and thank them for past support. Make it clear they are integral to your organization reaching its critical goals. Make an appeal in light of a current need - or identify specific individuals to have one-on-one conversations soon.

3. Ask for Advice - make sure it is actionable and relevant to your organization today. Some suggestions:
=> Poll for nominations of committee or board candidates.
=> Request feedback on your online giving footprint/s.
=> Investigate whether someone in your network has connections to elected leaders and can provide an introduction to your organization.
